iCloud Worker — a lightweight CRM for appliance-repair teams
Repair businesses don’t need an enterprise platform. They need to know which fridge is broken, which technician is closest and whether the job got paid. I designed a mobile-first CRM that does exactly that — and nothing it doesn’t need to.

Overview
Small appliance-repair companies usually run on a phone, a notebook and group chats. The popular field-service platforms can do almost everything — and that is exactly the problem for a team of five technicians.
01 · Research
Too many features, not enough clarity
I compared the leading field-service platforms — Housecall Pro, Jobber, ServiceM8, FieldPulse, Kickserv and others — on scheduling, dispatch, customer portal, GPS tracking, payments and pricing, and read through user reviews on G2, Capterra and Trustpilot.

“After 8 stressful hours of trying to understand their app, I realized it wasn’t for me.”
Key insight
Owners don’t want more features. They want fewer taps between a new order and a technician on the way. So the MVP got five tabs — Map, Finances, Chats, Analytics, Account — instead of thirty menu items.
02 · Solution
Everything a repair team needs, nothing it doesn’t
01
Orders at a glance
One list with smart filters like “This week” and “Needs attention”, and color-coded statuses: New, In progress, Complete, Cancelled.
02
Assign in one tap
Each order shows the customer’s description, photos of the broken appliance and an estimate — plus a list of technicians to assign.
03
Live map
See every technician on the map and send the nearest one to a new order — on mobile or desktop.
04
Money made simple
Revenue broken down into taxes, technician payroll, expenses and gross profit, with receipts, refunds and bank transfers.
05
Chats in context
Group chats that connect the client, the technician and the office around one order.
06
Ready for build
A lean UI kit — inputs, buttons, status tags, map pins, technician picker — ready for development.

Outcome
A focused, testable MVP: the core loop — new order → assign → track → get paid — takes a few taps instead of a trip through a dozen menus. The design and UI kit are ready for development.
